Parent Activities Group
* To receive the PAG weekly email,
you must be signed on the Parent Main Website.
Who are these people?
We are a group of parents and good samaritans (PALS certified) that can offer assistance that match our availability to help. You can help with just “1″ activity or jump in on a bunch of them! We promise not to overload you with other commitments.
We understand that everyone’s lives are busy in today’s world. To assist the school without making a major commitment to other activities….. is possible!
How do I join?
You can just sign up for the Activities Group Email List. If you see something you are interested in, just let us know and we can send you information on what exactly is needed for that activity….. Then the choice is yours.
To get our Activities Email, just email Peter Simms (Our Community Development Director) and write “Put Me On The List”.
It’s that easy + no commitment.
Why Get Involved?
- “Research reveals many benefits when parents are involved in their child’s education, including:
- Higher grades and test scores;
- Better attitudes and behavior;
- Better school attendance;
- More homework completed;
- Less chance of placement in special education;
- Greater likelihood of graduating from high school; and
- Better chance of enrolling in postsecondary education.”
“The more parents participate in schooling, in a
sustained way, at every level — in advocacy,
decision-making and oversight roles, as fund-
raisers and boosters, as volunteers and para-
professionals, and as home teachers — the better
for student achievement”
~ Williams, D.L. & Chavkin, N.F. (1989). Essentialelements of strong parent involvement programs.
