LE22 hosted the first IVMS Rubik’s Cube Competition on Tuesday, February 17th. There were five groups, each with four participants. After a frantic seven-minute contest, a victor was declared! 8th and 9th graders are working on identifying chemical and physical properties, matter, density, and types of mixtures. Students practiced separating homogeneous and heterogeneous mixtures using filtration, evaporation, and magnetic properties. Students had a good time practicing their skills.Continue Reading »

Meatless Mondays! – Beginning October 6th, the Sarasota County Schools will begin serving only meat-free dishes in school cafeterias on Mondays. Students will be able to fill their trays with such dishes as hummus and vegetable subs, veggie pasta bakes, spaghetti marinara and fiesta taco salads. The Bowls of Hope Creation day was a success!
